Caring for brass and copper without losing the character
How to clean hand-hammered metal while keeping the patina that makes it interesting.

The charm of hand-hammered brass and copper is that it ages. If you want an even shine, use a paste of lemon juice and salt, rub gently and rinse well. If you like the patina, simply wipe with a dry cloth and keep the piece away from prolonged moisture. Never put copper bottles in a dishwasher. Dry thoroughly after washing, and store in a dry place.
